The events will feature a Business, Community and Sports Expo as well as plenty of family friendly activities. The Bank of Ireland Enterprise Town event has been organised by the bank, in partnership with the local community. The initiative aims to promote enterprise and drive business momentum for local businesses and the wider sports and social community in Macroom by connecting with the communities in these areas to showcase what the area has to offer.

On the day, exhibitors will display a wide variety of products and services and Bank of Ireland is calling on those living and working in Macroom to come and support all the exhibitors. Events are free to attend for all the family and are open to both customers and non-customers of Bank of Ireland.

A Business, Sport and Community Expo is being organised to include a panel discussion. Local Transition Year students are taking part in a competition to design a modern coat of arms/crest for Macroom with judging and prize-giving taking place during the Expo.

Commenting on the initiative, Eilis Mannion, Head of Bank of Ireland Cork County, said: “Bank of Ireland is committed to supporting business growth across Cork and we want to continue to be Ireland’s Enterprise Bank. We would encourage local businesses and the wider community to come and share in activities over the weekend. I would like to thank the Enterprise Town Committee and all those involved in helping to organise and exhibit at this event.”
