Final Run
Ballincollig Motor Vintage Club Limited are having their final run of the year this Sunday, October 16. Start/Finish at Killumney Inn. 11am registration with tea/coffee. 12noon depart from Killumney - Clonakility. 3.30pm optional dinner in Killumney Inn. 20 Year Rule - Open to Pre 1996 Cars. Entry Fee €15.00 per Car.
Laochra Óg
Friday October 7: On a lovely sunny evening in Teerbeg last Friday evening the girls Poc Fada took place. The U9 10 11 12 and 13 competed against each other. Each girl hoping to get their shot past their opponent. There was some some great shots and well done to all.
Saturday October 8: Laochra Óg team v the Barrs. Well done to all and to the new girls Ava, Mary Ellen and Reailtin playing their first Camogie match for Laochra Óg and joining the team recently. Laochra Óg were missing a good few girls through other commitments but put in a tremendous performance playing great Camogie and scoring great goals and points in a good physical game.
Sunday October 9: The first 50/50 lotto draw for the Laochra Óg Club development Fund took place in Clondrohid Hall. The winner of the draw was Muireann O’Sullivan, 5 The Terrace, Clondrohid.
Macroom Juvenile GAA
U-13s: Macroom hosted the Mary Casey U-13 Blitz in Tom Creedon Park. Clongrohid, Gneeveguilla and Donoughmore were the guest opponents. After a closely contested competition, Clondrohid emerged the winners and the trophy was presented by Jacinta Casey, daughter of the late Mary, to Conor Lucey.
Minors: Congratulations to the Minors for a fine win in the League final. On a foul night for football, and after a fractious game, Macroom emerged victorious. The trophy was presented to Caleb Dinneen. The Minors were beaten by Skibbereen in Dunmanway in the county championship semi-final.
