-

NEXT Sunday is an important day for Mallow pair Cian O’Driscoll / Conor Walsh they make the long journey to Tyrone to Loughmacrory venue to represent their county in 60 / 30 All-Ireland Under 16 Doubles Final in which they face Galway pair Paul Conneely / Fiacha Mulkerrins in what promises to be a lively well contested final.

The Compunet IT Solutions sponsored Cork pair have performed well to date in this championship having a good passage through their Munster programme clinching the Munster title with an excellent display in the final.

They then moved on to an All-Ireland semi-final meeting with a well fancied Kilkenny pair, after a lively contest with Kilkenny they eventually book their place in the final with an 11 / 7 aces win the a tie-break.

We would certainly hope that tough game with Kilkenny will have brought them on a lot, they have put in a lot of work in the past two weeks preparing for Sunday’s Final which again is not an easy one.

Galway have two excellent players and they wont go down without giving it their all. We hope that Conor Walsh and Cian O’Driscoll’s tough games on the path to this final will help them and having them fully geared for a clash in which they will to put in another big performance. Wishing them well in their quest to bring this important title to their club and county.
