Boherbue
AN POST
Another ‘feather in Boherbue’s cap’ can best describe the recent decision by An Post to locate a Central Sorting Office in a section of the Boherbue Retail Park which is part of the Boherbue Coop complex on the western end of the town.
It again clearly identifies Boherbue as an ideal location for industry or otherwise taking its close proximity to and easy access to and from Cork city, Killarney, Tralee, Limerick or any of the areas en route.
This new sorting regime has cross border involvement with Rathmore and Gneeveguilla joining Ballydesmond, Cullen, Knocknagree, Ballydaly, Millstreet, Derrinagree, Dromagh, Newmarket, Meelin, Rockchapel, Kiskeam and Boherbue itself.
Approximately 20 postmen and women assemble around 7am and this creates extra early morning life in the area in addition to the creche, nursing home, ingredient solutions cheese processing plant, Super Valu, building contractors and the people on their way to work in other areas.
The whole movement in the area is uplifting and sets one in the right frame of mind for the long day ahead.
We welcome this new venture to Boherbue and we compliment An Post on its choice of location.
