THE new generation Expert van has arrived in Peugeot Dealerships in Ireland and is now on sale. Destined to further strengthen the lion-brand’s light commercial vehicles market share, the new Peugeot front face has been adopted to give the new Expert van a strong, robust and attractive character.

Carrying loads from 1000kg up to 1400kg, it is presented with a reduced height of 1.90m, in three lengths, Compact, Standard and Long, and in two trim levels, Active and Professional.

Available in panel van and special order crew cab or platform cab variants, it has the highest safety level in its category, achieving a 5-star rating in Euro NCAP tests.

It retails from €21,520 plus delivery, (from €17,553 ex-VAT), for the Compact Active 1.6 BlueHDi 95bhp 1000KG version.

The new Peugeot Expert boasts a new elevated vertical grille featuring the lion in the centre whilst the front bumper houses the distinctive Peugeot LED light signature. A short, high bonnet sits above a wide, protective bumper. Low side protections and the solid black front bumper that integrates air inlets across the entire width of the car, emphasise the robust nature of the new Peugeot Expert. Available in three lengths, the new Peugeot Expert offers load volumes of up to 6.6m3, payloads of up 1400kg and a floor load length of up to 4m. The Standard and Long versions, at 4.95m and 5.30m, are designed for the core market. The Compact 4.60m version, unique in the segment, allows loads of up to 5.1m3 and 1400kg, with a useful length of 3.32m. Its sleek proportions and reduced overhang allow the new Peugeot Expert to offer greater manoeuvrability, particularly popular with professionals working in urban areas on a daily basis. A reduced height of 1.90m, rare in this segment, guarantees the new Peugeot Expert access to all car parks. Built on Peugeot’s new modular EMP2 platform, the new Expert introduces innovative features to the segment for the first time alongside the new, highly efficient 1.6 95bhp / 115bhp and 2.0 BlueHDi 120bhp Euro6 diesel engines. Standard equipment on the New Expert Active range includes; twin side sliding doors, twin panel rear doors, full steel bulkhead, 16” wheels, ESP, central locking with deadlocks, driver and passenger airbags, driver’s seat height and rake and reach adjustment, lumbar adjustment and armrest, dual passenger seat with under seat storage, cruise control with variable speed limiter, front electric windows, electrically adjustable heated door mirrors, full size spare wheel, DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB and audio jack, LED daytime running lights, and 3 x 12 volt sockets between the cabin and the load area. The new Professional trim adds alarm, front fog lights, air conditioning, rear parking sensors, 7” touch screen with Mirror Screen, voice recognition and coffee break alert, indicating 2 hours continuous driving.

An innovative Moduwork offering is also standard on Professional models to include a full steel bulkhead with load-through flap under the outer passenger seat, enabling loading of objects up to 4m long through the flap. The Moduwork dual passenger bench seat features a fold up outer seat, a fold-down writing table in the central seat back and storage under the central seat.
