Pobal Chill na Martra and especially Muintear Chúil a Bhuacaigh warmly congratulate Cristin Ní Dheasúna following her first Senior International Boxing win in Thailand recently. Cristín arrived back to Cill na Martra with her first senior Bronze medal, a wonderful achievement for a 20 year old in the senior class. In a hard fought semi-final, Cristín came close to winning silver. The best is yet to come. Míle comhghairdeas Cristín.

SYMPATHY
The death took place recently of Betty O’Mahony, Cluain Clud in Macroom Community Hospital. Predeceased by her husband, Paddy, the late Betty was the mother of eight, Johnny, Eileen, Dick, Eilís, Patrick, Bridie, Anne and David, grandmother of twenty one and great-grandmother of another twenty one. Sympathy is extended to all. Interment took place in Inchigeela Cemetery following Requiem Mass in the Church of St Finbarr and Holy Angels. Go dtuga Dia sólás sioraí di ar Neamh.

PENNY DINNERS COLLECTION
The Ionad Lae, Baile Mhúirne is organising a collection on behalf of Cork Penny Dinners. They welcome donations of food, such as tinned food, tea, coffee, sugar, soup, jelly, custard, cooking oil, salt and pepper. Warm clothes are also welcome, such as coats, hats, gloves, socks, rainwear and underwear. Household cleaning products are also required such as disinfectant, wash-up liquid, bleach, hand wash, toilet rolls, black bags, tin foil, cling film etc. Donations can be handed into the Ionad Lae till Friday, November 25.
