MUNSTER Fire & Safety was founded in 2002 when William and Claire O’learyy decided starting their ownn business would be theirr preferred employment option too enable them live and bring upp their young family in Millstreet­t and Duhallow.

Growing steadily over the years,, their current customer base is primarily r- business-to-business, representi­ngg a wide range of sectors, includingg schools and colleges, residentia­l andd nursing homes, retail and office,e, engineerin­g,community groups pharmaceut­ical,and sports clubs, constructi­on,s,food, transport and more.

They are in the market of protecting people and property by helping clients to be safe at work and to be compliant with health and safety regulation­s. They are a sales and service business operating across Munster and Ireland.

Services: - Portable Fire Fighting Equipment – sales, installati­on, inspection, service and refills. - Fire Alarm Systems – installati­on, commission­ing, service and maintenanc­e. - Fire Safety Training. Sales: - PPE (Personal protective equipment) eg. safety helmets, glasses & goggles, protective gloves, hi visibility clothing. - Workwear and safety footwear. We are authorised dealers for Mascot Workwear and Snickers Workwear – both market leaders in Ireland. - Printing and embroidery on to workwear.

The firm is unique in supplying fire safety services as well as PPE and workwear under the one umbrella.

They are continuall­y innovating by adding new products and services. For example, in 2016 they became the Irish distributo­r for Maxguard Footwear (premium German brand).

They also added fire alarm servicing and installati­on in 2016, expanding their product range and making their offering larger.

“Through surveying our customers, we have learned that they come back to us because of our high level of customer service,” says William. “We offer top service because we employ top people through our HR strategy. Our team are dedicated and loyal because of our highly developed hiring system which includes full induction and training, positional job descriptio­ns, key performanc­e indicators and regular reviews.”

The company vision is to be the strongest, most reputable and most reliable fire and safety provider in Munster.

“To protect people and property, our products and services will be of the highest quality and value for money,” says William.

“We will develop a team of committed, positive and successful people who will work with us according to our core values, particular­ly those of honesty and integrity.”

The company plans to grow and expand steadily over the next five years, aiming for 11 full-time and four parttime staff by 2021. They also aim to grow turnover by 100% in that period.
