ORIGINALLY established in 1993, Ayrton Group is now among Ireland’s best established training and consultancy organisations, providing consultancy and training services to all sectors of Irish industry.
From humble beginnings it has developed into one of Ireland’s largest practices, with over 90 professional and administration staff.
In 1999, the then HSS took over the operations of a Kilkenny consultancy, which assisted in their first major expansion, and in 2007 HSS opened d its purpose built training centre in Newmarket - now the largest in Ireland. People travel from across Ireland to use this facility, for a wide range of training.
Further development of the facility in 2013 helped HSS win first place in the prestigious IOSH International Training Initiative of the Year Award, presented in London.
In January 2016 they opened their second training centre, at Airton Road, Tallaght, Dublin 24, running the same services as Newmarket. Now the Ayrton Group, HQ remains in Newmarket.
“Our approach is based upon adaptability, availability (the JIT concept), confidentiality and common sense, which gives us the leading edge. This is vital to our success,” says MD Kieran.
“We are a family run business, where we pride ourselves on running a European wide service, from Newmarket. Our philosophy is based on our team approach, where our people are the drivers to the success we have enjoyed.”
Aryton’s client base ranges across Agriculture/Forestry/Fishery, Wind Energy, Construction, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Administration, Wholesale/Retail, Rural Enterprises, Manufacturing etc. Their clients include Enercon (one of the top three largest wind developers in the world), Google, Apple Inc, Microsoft, Kerry Group, Munster Joinery, Dairygold, Ervia, Glanbia, Pfizer Corporation, MSD, Schering Plough, SOL Golf, Liebherr, to just some.
“The potential market for our services is phenomenal,” says Kieran. “Since the mid 2000’s our client base has expanded rapidly and our work has taken us all over the world and we have had or now have activities in countries such as Kenya, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland, Philippines, Hong Kong, Netherlands and the UK.”
Ayrton Group is also committed to staff training and development activities as part of their Staff Development Policy, where all staff are valued and encouraged to develop their skills and talents.
“Having consolidated our business in 2009/2010, we have grown our business by 40% per annum each year since 2014,” says Kieran. “By 2018 we see our business growing to attain the largest market share for our services, all run from our Newmarket headquarters.
“By 2021, we see our business employing 200 staff, working across Ireland & Europe.”
The rebrand to Ayrton Group (officially Ayrton Consultancy Ltd) also saw them expanding their range of greatly services - yet, they are the same people, same Directors, Same Management, same HQ in Duhallow.
