Gordon’s love of flowers has grown a blooming business

-

WHAT occasion cannot be marked with flowers? Asks Gordon Morris, who took over Castle Buds Flowers in June 2014 and moved it to Strand Street in Kanturk,- where it is today.

“Everybody struggles with gift ideas every now and then and from previously working in the flower industry I was very aware of how personal and uplifting flowers can be for anybody that receives them, butt also the goodwill feeling that can bee got by sending a loved one a bouquett with a peronalised message,” says Gordon.r “There is a great satisfaction in knowing that our creations could put a smile on someone’s face that day.”

The business is aimed towards everybody in the community and surrounding areas, from the old to the young, and Castle Buds will work with any budget and still create something as special and imaginative as the next. They even have a large international customer base due to family members living abroad.

“One thing that has become very evident is that we play a major role in some of the most important days in peoples lives,” says Gordon. “That can be from providing a bride with the flowers and bouquet she has dreamed of since she was a young girl, to celebrating a birthday or anniversary, to honouring and symbolising the life of a loved one that has passed away, to welcoming a new baby into this world, the variety of people that flowers can help celebrate and comfort, is endless.”

The aim at Castle Buds is to design and offer innovative, high quality fresh flower arrangements using a variety of designs. They also offer additional products such as grave arrangements, Christmas ornaments, teddy bears, balloons, seasonal keepsakes and local art work.

“I feel we go that step further than many other businesses. Our delivery service brings the arrangements right to your doorstep, and that is a lovely moment to witness,” says Gordon.

The Castle Buds market is growing and expanding every year which is a testament of the success and personalised experience the give customers. With the steady growth of the business since 2014, they hope to expand the business even further. Gordon aims to add a website to develop the online market to target a wider customer base and provide a more convenient element to the experience.

Another area of significant growth is the wedding market. Bouquets, centrepieces, church flowers and the wedding floral design reflect each personality. “We hope to expand our variety of lanterns and archways and be able to provide a red carpet for the bride to make the experience as luxurious as it can be,” says Gordon.

Along with expanding an already thriving business, and providing the most pleasant and flawless experience possible, Gordon also aims to expand the Castle Buds team.
