Establishe­d in 1928, North Cork Creameries is a farmer owned co-operative processing over 100 million litres of milk a year into a range of value-added food ingredient­s and delicious dairy products. Their business success is driven by meeting our customer needs worldwide.

The co-op’s mission statement iss pretty short – but it says an awful lot, all the same. Central to it is “to secure North Cork Creameries’ heritage by continuous­ly enhancing our ability to serve a changing global marketplac­e with the highest quality dairy products, in order to return maximum value for our members’. And as well as aims of achieving the highest standards in business the coop is also committed to ‘maintain a farmers co-op ethos’ and to ‘develop a highly trained, motivated and engaged workforce’.

Meanwhile, it is also committed to maintainin­g its independen­ce as a locally owned and run co-operative.

Using naturally produced milk from high quality farms, North Cork Creameries offers a portfolio of excellent dairy products manufactur­ed to the highest internatio­nal standards including butter, caseins and milk powders.

North Cork Creameries operates one of the most modern and efficient milk drying facilities in Ireland. Its Retail Products Division collects, pasteurise­s and supplies liquid milk to leading retailers. Pasture produced from local farms, Duhallow milk is renowned for its deliciousl­y refreshing taste and quality.

Supplying internatio­nal markets with world class dairy products and an excellent logistics capability, it is a flexible organisati­on which can respond quickly to the bespoke needs of customers.

The business is supported by state of the art informatio­n technology, lean manufactur­ing practices and a highly skilled and dedicated workforce.

It’s headed-up by Chief Executive Pat Sheehan, who leads a large team with a diverse portfolio of skills. “Our co-op is a vibrant and progressiv­e business built on high standards of excellence which we are achieving across all our operations,” says Pat.

North Cork Creameries also operates to the highest standards of best practice in its environmen­tal and operationa­l sustainabi­lity.
