THE Committee of the Kanturk Ladies Football Club has been putting in a great effort over the past two months to fundraise for all the age groups, from under 6’s to the senior team.

The Thorny Rose of Kanturk competition, having been run over the past number of weeks in the local pubs, is coming to its grand finale.

Derek Carroll won the last heat in the Park bar, so we now have our full list of 10 contestants that go through to the final.

Liam Bawn is the representative from Ronnie’s Bar, James Sherlock is the winner from Dwyer’s Bar, Noelie Carroll won at Barrett’s Bar, Jordan Fullerton came through from a tough pageant at Kelly’s Bar and Joe Brennan won in O’C’s Bar.

Added to this selection of beauties are the four wild cards: Evan Murphy, Seamus O’Connor, Tim Mullane and Stephen Guiney.

The final is Friday 25th November in the Edel Quinn Hall, doors opening at 8pm, so come early and pick your seat for a fun packed night, beginning at 9pm. €5 entry at the door.

The committee are putting the contestants through their party pieces and dress rehearsals to give a fun filled entertaining show for all the family.

Who will be voted the 2016 Thorny Rose Of Kanturk?
