So said Cllr Noel McCarthy – chairman of the Fermoy Christmas Lights Committee – at the turning on of this year’s lights.

Cllr McCarthy said Fermoy was really looking forward to the Christmas celebrations. “The next couple of weeks are vital for everyone in business and, hopefully, people will decide to shop local and ‘put Fermoy first’.
“I think the town is looking really well and tonight’s ceremony has helped project a very positive image of the town. If we keep working together we can go places,” added Cllr McCarthy.
