The Corkman

Mallow supporting Cork ARC

-

LAST October fashionistas of all ages turned out in considerable style for a fundraising fashion show in aid of the Cork ARC Cancer Support House held at the Hibernian Hotel in Mallow.

Hosted by Corrie O’Flynn and O’Flynn’s Footwear, Mallow and Deirdre Duffy of Luna Bella Fashion Boutique, the event saw locals ladies strutting their stuff on the catwalk modelling some of the very latest fashions in clothes and footwear.

The night proved to be a roaring success, raising an incredible €4,930 for the charity, which the co-hosts recently presented to Joanne McCarthy of Cork ARC.

The Cork ARC Cancer Support House provides a safe haven for cancer patients and their families, offering a drop-in and telephone service at their three locations in Cork City and West Cork where people can call in without making an appointment and chat with trained volunteers.

The money raised through the Mallow fashion show will go towards helping fund the outstanding work undertaken by the Cork ARC Cancer Support House, which relies heavily on public support to help meet the needs of its clients.

Cork ARC’s aim is to provide therapies that complement medical models and adhere to best practise, ultimately making an immense difference to the lives of those affected by cancer.
