Choose something different for stag and hen events

-

A PERSON’S idea of a Hen or Stag party is a bit like marmite – you either love it or loathe it. But have you considered a more unorthodox approach to Hen and Stag weekends? Actions speak louder than words when it comes to enjoyment, activity and having a good old fashioned knees up.

If you’re planning a special day or weekend away as part of a Stag or Hen, then why not consider twinning it with some outdoor activities and pursuits? There’s plenty you can do before hitting the nightlife side of things and whether its food, drink, music, culture, scenery or outdoor activities, living in a stunning place like the south west means there’s everything you need for a break away from the norm when celebrating your Stag or Hen. Variety is something which in recent years has come to define Hen and Stag parties. People always like to have a few drinks and let their hair down before tying the knot, but these days the night- time activity is very much twinned with day- time activity.

People are now choosing to incorporate Stags and Hens with cycling or running events, horse riding, greyhound racing, hillwalking, water sports, cultural and sporting events. People want more from a Stag or Hen weekend nowadays and it’s hard to blame them given all that’s out there. In essence, it sounds like a perfect mix: a day’s trekking the hills, topped off with a few drinks and a meal before moving on to sample some vibrant nightlife.

Golfing weekends are also huge and a great way to celebrate a Stag. There’s no shortage of excellent accommodation these days offering value from hotels to B& Bs. The restaurants are also second to none and the bars are really in a world of their own making with lots of music, characters and fun. Twinning a Hen or Stag weekend with some activity will create the kind of fun and memories you won’t forget.
