SISTER PAUL MURPHY R.I.P.

THE death took place on Friday, February 17 at Teacht Altra Nursing Home, Newmarket of Sister Paul, who was based for many years at the Convent of Mercy in Mallow.

A native of Cullen, she is predecease­d by her brothers Jimmy, Matthew, John, Fr. Denis, Patrick, step brothers Jer and Daniel and survived by her brother Joe, Mercy Community and Congregati­on, relations and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in the Church of the Resurrecti­on at 11.30am on Monday 20 February with burial afterwards in St. Gobnait’s Cemetery.

THOMAS FINN R.I.P.

THE unexpected death took place on Wednesday, March 1 of Thomas Finn from Mallow and formerly of Glantane.

He is predecease­d by his wife, Esther, and survived by his sons Marcus, Robin, Alan and Noel, his friend Patricia, family and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in the Church of the Resurrecti­on Saturday, March 4 with burial later in St. John’s Cemetery, Glantane.

We extend our deep sympathy to the Finn family.

EDMOND (Ned) DOHERTY R.I.P.

THE death took place on Thursday, March 2 of Edmond (Ned) Doherty at his residence 79 Main Street in Mallow.

Formerly of Tullylease, Ned is predecease­d by his brother John and susrvived by his wife Angela (nèe O’Leary) brothers Dinny and Paudie, sisters Kitty, Mary and Nancy, family and friends.

Requiem Mass was celebrated in St. Mary’s Church at 2.30pm on Saturday, March 4 with burial afterwards to St. Gobnait’s Cemetery.
