Weather plays spoilsport as fixtures rained off

-

THE weather played spoilsport over the weekend with Kanturk’s games at both U16 football and Intermediate hurling being postponed.

With Kanturk’s county division two hurling league with Eire Og falling foul of the inclement weather over the weekend, it’s hoped the game away to Valley Rovers at Brinny will have a better chance of being played. The game is down for Sunday 12th March with a 2pm start.

Meanwhile, the Wolfe Tones U16 footballers tie away to Eire Og, which was to be played on Saturday last, 4th March has been re-fixed for Sunday next 12th with a 4pm start at Ovens.

In their second outing, Wolfe Tones are away to Macroom on Saturday 18th March 3pm.

In the county division two football league, Kanturk and Cill na Martra clash on Thursday 16th March at Mallow with an 8pm start. Both teams are after three victories from as many games in division two of the county league.
