Frank Morgan R.I.P. – In 2015, Killavullen GAA celebrated its 125th anniversary, of its founding on February 15, 1888, and sought to remember that milestone in a significant way. After discussions, it was felt that a DVD may be appropriate. We then sought out suitable persons to create the DVD for us, and we were fortunate, even blessed, that Frank Morgan, photographer, from Fermoy was chosen to work on the project.

Frank was unique, witty, gifted, warm, with a winsome smile, and was very, very engaging, coupled with his fascination of history made him the ideal candidate for the project. He, along with his friend Joe Dolphin, from Midleton created a beautiful memento of the history of the club, but life has cut both of them down now, within three weeks of each other.

Killavullen GAA Club is indebted in a huge way to Frank, his professionalism was spellbinding, his insight into photographic matters was mesmerising. He was able to get people to present of themselves in the best possible way, done by cajoling one person, and steering another.

To his wife Breda, and his colleagues in Frank Morgan, photographic studios, Fermoy, especially Helen, our sincerest of commiserations. Frank with his effervescent personality was special, and Killavullen GAA Club was saddened by his passing.
