TROCAIRE

The Trocaire Lenten Campaign recently issued the following message in the hope of support throughout Lent.

1. Donations to the above campaign provide shelter, food, water and other life-saving aid up to one million people each year.

Humanitarian aid is provided to 13 countries -- food to the hungry, shelter to the displaced and medicine to the sick. They know the communities most at risk and now need your support.

2. Humanitarian aid isn=92t just about responding to high profile crises, it is about dealing with the daily reality of helping people who are suffering in silence away from the television cameras.

Trocaire are working with them to prepare them for disaster, giving them the equipment and training to evacuate safely from flood hit areas.

Households are asked to please take a Trocaire box, they are available in all churches.

Your kindness won’t go astray.
