Kanturk Intermediate hurlers in league action this Thursday evening

-

THE Kanturk Intermediate hurlers have home advantage when they meet Eire Og in a re-arranged division 2 league tie at Kanturk on Thursday, 13th April 7.15pm.

In football, a very weak Kanturk side suffered a heavy defeat to Cullen in the Duhallow JAFC first round on Saturday last 8th April at Rathcoole losing out on a 0-4 to 3-18 score line. Kanturk would have expected to field a much stronger side but, due to a variety of reasons, were denied upwards of eight first choice players. FEILE PEIL: Following on their successful group stage a few weeks ago, Wolfe tones (Kanturk) travel to Ballincollig on Easter Monday 17th April for the Feile Peil U14 football semi-final’s and final. Kanturk will meet Iban Gaels at 5pm and if successful contest the final at 6pm. JUVENILE GAMES: Cucullains (Kanturk) teams were in hurling action over recent days with our U12’s getting the better of St Marks on a 1-7 to 2-0 scoreline while our U16 side lost out to Fermoy in a high scoring encounter on a 4-10 to 3-16 scoreline.

Fixtures down for decision in the coming week include an U12 hurling league tie away to Banteer on Easter Monday at 2pm and on Tuesday 18th April our U16 hurlers travel to Ballygiblin for a 7pm start.
