minute when Alan O’Connell and Dylan O’Callaghan combined well for Jack Kearney who netted 1-2 to 0-4.

Clyda were on terms two minutes later when Colin Kelly soloed through and pointed. The Mourneabbe­y side finished the half strong. Ben O’Connor, Seamus Ronayne and Jack Phelan were all on target and they moved 0-8 to 1-2 ahead. Good play by Jack Twomey Bill Curtin and Alan O’Connell led to fine point by the latter. At the break Clyda held a slender two point lead 0-8 to 1-3.

Kilshannig had the aid of the slight breeze on the resumption. Both sides were off target. In the 37th minute Darragh O’Sullivan kicked a long pointed free. Substitute Diarmuid O’Sullivan played a major roll for the winners in this half.

O’Sullivan pointed to force level after good play by Brian Guerin Jack Twomey and Dylan O’Callaghan. The Glantane side took the lead in the 48th minute when Alan O’Connell pointed. Clyda tried very hard to get back on terms.

Conor McMahon made a vital intercepti­on denying a certain score. Seamus Ronayne levelled with a pointed ‘45 1-6 to 0- 9. Dylan O’Callaghan restored the Kilshannig lead with Joseph Cronin who moved up field kicking a great point.

Clyda Rovers got back within the minimum in the 54th minute when Tim Buckley placed Matthew McEntee who pointed from a tight angle. They were unable to get the equaliser with Kilshannig edging two clear when Dylan O’Callaghan placed Diarmuid O’Sullivan who pointed under pressure.

O’Callaghan was provider for Jack Twomey who put a goal between the sides entering injury time. Clyda tried very hard but they found it very difficult to make any progress through a solid Kilshannig backline.

Three minutes into injury time a foul on Jerome Murphy led to the insurance pointed free by Diarmuid O’Sullivan. Time ran out and it was Kilshannig who now await either Mitchelsto­wn or Charlevill­e in the semi-final.
