SCOIL RINCE UI THUAMA

This Irish Dance Group is a member of CRDM.(Cumann Rince De Mheasa). Classes are held in Ballyvourney and Clondrohid. This dance school started in 2013 with a small number of Beginner Dancers. Over the last number of years the school has grown in numbers and professionalism, taking part in many Feiseanna here in Ireland and also in England.

They have taken part in competitions such as Irish Open, all-Ireland and World Championships with great success. Locally they perform in Ballyvourney at the Christmas Concert and in Ballingeary at the parade on St Patrick’s Day. At present 23 dancers are preparing to take part in this year’s CRDM.World Irish Dancing Championships being held in Drogheda on Saturday, April 22.

Their motto is ‘ Team Spirit, Friendships, and to be aware that you are already a winner by just taking part and enjoying the experience. A lot of hard work is needed to prepare these dancers, so well done to Lorraine and her helpers and of course you the parents.
