SOCCER LEGENDS TALK

Duhallow Reds have organised for Liverpool and Ireland superstars Ray Houghton and Ronnie Whelan to Speak in the Edel Quinn Hall in Kanturk on Friday, May 12, at 8 p.m. The Champions league trophy will be in attendance on the night. All profits go to Marymount Hospice. Tickets (adults €20, under-16s and OAPs €15) available from bweengcelt­icunderage@gmail.com.

BWEENG TRAILBLAZE­RS

Bweeng Trailblaze­rs annual 5k and 10k race takes place on Sunday, May 7, at midday. SKECHERS are the main race sponsors this year and the club is also delighted to have Imagine Broadband back again for their second year of sponsoring this event. It is expected that there will be a very big attendance this year with online entries already surpassing last year’s total entry.

This will be a great day in Bweeng and help is needed to make sure that this runs smoothly. Help is needed with stewarding, baking and help in the kitchen on the day. So if you feel you can help in someway please contact Brian Ahern at 087 9439260.

Training continues every Monday and Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the community centre, new members always welcome.

LAHARN DANCE

The annual Laharn Cross Fundraisin­g Dance will take place this Saturday night, April 22, in the Edel Quinn Hall, Kanturk with music by the Lee Sound. Dancing commences at 10 p.m. and entry is only €10. Please support and all money raised will go towards the cost of providing cross roads dancing in 2017.

TRADITIONA­L IRISH NIGHT

The final traditiona­l night of the 2016/2017 at Laharn Heritage Centre will take place this Friday night, April 21, commencing at 9.30 p.m. Come and enjoy a great night of music, song, dance and entertainm­ent for a few hours and of course the cup of tea and cake during the night also.
