Sad passing of Mitchelsto­wn residents

THE LATE TOM CAREY

The death occurred on April 18 at Cork University Hospital of Tom Carey, Stagpark, Mitchelsto­wn.

The late Tom in his fifties was formerly of O’Neill Crowley Terrace, Mitchelsto­wn. He was well known locally.

His popularity was borne out in the large attendance at the removal on Thursday evening from the Chapel of Rest, Baldwin Street., to the Parish Church and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Friday.

Interment took place to Brigown New Cemetery.

To his mother Joan, brothers Larry, Jerry, Patrick, Michael, Eamon, John, James, Paul sisters Ellen, Teresa, and uncles, aunt, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and many friends we tender our sincerest sympathy.

THE LATE CATHERINE MOHER

The death occurred on April 21 of Catherine (Kitty) Moher (Nee Lewis) Caherdrinn­y Mitchelsto­wn and formerly of Shrove Kilbehenny. The late Kitty was predecease­d by her husband Pa. She was a very popular member of the local community. There was a large and represente­d attendance at the removal on Sunday evening from O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home Kilbehenny to the nearby St Joseph’s Church and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Monday. Interment took place to Kilworth Old Cemetery. To her sons Seamus, Thomas, daughters Breda (Ryan) Marie (Lyons) Ann (Kirwan) daughters in law, sons in law, grandchild­ren, sisters in law Nellie & Babs, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE BOBBY SHEEHAN

The death occurred on April 18 of Bobby Sheehan Rathfarnha­m Dublin. The late Bobby a native of James St Mitchelsto­wn was in his 70th year. He had been in ill health for a while. The late Bobby had been in Dublin for all his working life.

While in Mitchelsto­wn in his teens he was a noted footballer. Many people from Mitchelsto­wn and surroundin­g areas attended the funeral on Friday evening at Larry Massey Funeral Home, Eden Centre, Grange Road, Rathfarnha­m. Cremation took place on Saturday at Mount Jerome.

To his wife Mary, son Robert, daughters Brid, Caitriona sisters Josie (Price) Nora (Masterson) brothers Paki & John, nephews, nieces, sisters in law brothers in law, family and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.
