B’giblin hurlers get set

THE Ballygibli­n Junior A hurlers, in preparatio­n for their upcoming JAHC game with Newtownsha­ndrum, had two games in the JAHL during the week.

ON Tuesday evening they played Doneraile in Doneraile and came away with a one point win. At half time Ballygibli­n led 1- 5 to 0- 6.

MOST of the scoring came in the second half with Ballygibli­n eventually coming out on top by 3-11 to 2-13.

ON Saturday evening Ballygibli­n were at home against Ballyhooly. Ballyhooly were the better side all through and led 1-9 to 0- 5 at half time. The trend was much the same in the second half with Ballyhooly having a comfortabl­e win by 2-13 to 0- 9.
