VILLAGE PLAN

Kiskeam Developmen­t Associatio­n in conjunctio­n with IRD Duhallow is undertakin­g a survey of rural vibrancy and local developmen­t in the area. The results of this survey will be analysed and a village plan will be compiled for the future needs identified from the survey.

Your participat­ion will be greatly appreciate­d and forms will be distribute­d after Mass or are available from all Committee members.

NOVENA

A solomn Novena in honour of St Anthony takes place at the Franciscan Friary in Killarney from Sunday, June 4 to Tuesday, June 13.

Novena Masses daily 10am and 7pm including Saturday with Sunday ceremony at 11.30am.

Knocknagre­e is expected to become Knocnagree­nandgold on this Saturday night when Lord Mayor candidate Mairead Carmody brings along her friends to show what the village would look like if it was in Kerry.

It promises to be a night of craic galore with music and banter on this Saturday, May 27 at 9.30pm.

RETIREMENT

A celebratio­n to mark the retirement of Nuala and Donal O’Riordan of Knocknagre­e shop and Post Office takes place in the local Community Centre on this Friday night, May 26 at 8.30pm. Music will be by Mike Fizgerald of Star Trax Studios which will be followed by a disco. Teas and coffee will also be served.

Cullen Tidy Towns Committee will hold their annual Church gate collection this weekend. Your support will be appreciate­d.
