THE LATE ANNA O’KEEFFE

THE death occurred on May 14 at Marymount Hospice, Cork of Anna O’Keeffe (nee Buckley) Ballylough, Mitchelsto­wn.

The late Anna had been in ill health for a while which she bore with great dignity. She was a very well known and a popular member of the local community, being wife of former Junior Minister and TD Ned O’Keeffe.

The late Anna was a caring and committed member of the Ballindang­an Community with the ICA and Community Council benefittin­g enormously from her membership, advise, commitment and friendship. She was a deeply religious lady over her lifetime.

Her popularity was borne out in the huge attendance that were present at her funeral in the family home on Tuesday and also on Wednesday at the Requiem Mass at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballindang­an and at the burial in St Dominic’s Cemetery Glanworth.

To her husband, Ned, sons Pat, Kevin, Ciaran, daughters Deirdre (O’Brien) and Lorraine, sisters Ailis (Buckley), Helen (Dunne) daughters in law Veronica (English) Barbara (Byrne) son in law Dominic O’Brien, sisters in law Breeda (Allen) Eileen (Harrington) Kathleen (O’Flynn) Mary (O’Neill) brothers in law Michael O’Keeffe, David O’Donnell, Michael Dunne, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and many friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE MARGARET MEE

THE death occurred on May 16 at the Mercy Hospital, Cork of Margaret (Peggy) Mee (nee Bermingham) Ballinwill­in, Mitchelsto­wn

and formerly of Barry Park, Glanworth and Ballyorgan, Kilfinane.

She was predecease­d by her husband, Paddy.

The late Peggy was in her 96th year and was well known. Her popularity was borne out in the large gathering that attended her removal at the Chapel of Rest, Baldwin St, Mitchelsto­wn on Wednesday evening to St Joseph’s Church, Ballyorgan and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Thursday. Interment took place to Abbey Graveyard, Ballyorgan.

To her sons Eric, Fergus, Patrick, Alan, Walter, daughters Kathleen, Margaret, Breda, Marian sons in law, daughters in law, grandchild­ren great grandchild­ren, great great grand children, brother in law Gerard, sister in law Maureen, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE EILEEN CAPLICE

THE death occurred on May 16 of Eileen Caplice at Marymount Hospice, Cork.

The late Eileen (nee Walsh) of Cahergaul, Burncourt was formerly of Lackendarr­a, Anglesboro. She had been in ill health for a while which she fought with great dignity and bravery.

The late Eileen was devoted to her family and her community. She loved country music and dancing, and was a very charitable person and devoted to her Catholic faith.

There was a very large and representa­tive attendance at the removal on Friday evening from O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Kilbehenny to the nearby Kilbehenny Church and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Saturday. Interment took place to the Church Grounds.

To her husband, Tom, sons Paul, Brendan, Thomas, daughter Miriam, sisters Alice, Ann & Maura, brothers Michael and Willie, grandchild­ren Josh, Rylan, Jenny, Joe son in law Tom, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE MICHAEL ROCHE

THE death occurred on May 19 at Marymount Hospice, Cork of Michael Roche, Clonmel Road, Mitchelsto­wn.

The late Michael had been in ill health for a short while. Formerly with Galtee Foods, he was a popular member of the local community. This was borne out in the very large attendance at the removal on Sunday evening from The Chapel of Rest, Baldwin St, Mitchelsto­wn to the Parish Church and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Monday. Interment took place to Brigown New Cemetary.

To his wife Betty (nee McAuliffe) sons John, Michael, brother Thomas, sisters Margaret (Cameron) Patricia (Hussey) swon in law Adrian, daughter in law Linda, grandchild­ren Sara, Oliver, Ciaran, Jack, Aideen, Courtney, Katelyn, & Aine, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.
