Under-17 Development Squad training continues
UNDER 17 DEVELOPMENT TRAINING The U-17 Development Squad, which started last week at 7pm in Delaney’s Pitch in Dublin Hill, is open to players born in 2000 & 2001. All players must be registered with their club. No Inter-county players allowed.
Training sessions will be held every Wednesday until August 9. The U-17 Blitz will be held in Dublin on Tuesday, August 15 with possibly an overnight stay on August 14.
This is wonderful opportunity for players to improve their football skills which will benefit clubs in the long run. It is also a great opportunity for players to wear the Cork jersey representing the County at the blitz on August 15.

CORK LADIES FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT SUMMER CAMP The very successful Cork LGFA Summer camps of 2016 will take place again this year. Orlagh Farmer and her colleagues from the Cork Senior and Minor panels will hold a camp on the following date for North Cork Clubs. August 8-11 in Banteer GAA, the camps will run from 10am 2pm each day. Camp is open to girls from U-8 up to and including U-16s. This is a great opportunity for our older players as well as our younger girls to interact with Cork Ladies Footballers and to be coached by them. We would highly recommend this camp for all ages. The cost is €40 per player. Each player will receive a specially designed jersey.

MUNSTER LADIES BLITZES Dates for your diary: the annual U-8 and 10 Munster Ladies Blitz will be held on August 19 and the U-12 Munster Ladies Blitz will be held on Sat Aug 26th. Venues and times will be advised to clubs in the next few weeks, these are excellent days for all ages.
LIDL FUTURE STARS COMPETITION We are so excited to unveil the latest Lidl Ireland initiative. The Lidl Future Stars is giving girls aged 8-12 the opportunity to train and learn from their intercounty heroes. There are four venues and the event is taking place in July. To earn your Lidl Future Star a chance to learn from the stars please log on to the North Cork Ladies Football Facebook page and click on the poster for this competition, the link to nominate your daughter, sibling etc. is on the bottom right hand corner of the link. And remember this is not just for kids as there will be loads of helpful advice for parents too. The North Cork venue is Mallow Sports Complex on Sunday July 16.
LGFA CHILD WELFARE AUDIT This audit is to be completed by Clubs Children’s Officers online between June 26 and July 6. All clubs will receive further communication from the North Cork Secretary and the County Secretary over the next week. Thanks to all clubs who have supported the texting in of all their results since this season started. This ensures that our website www.northcorkladiesfootball.com is current and up to date. The winning team is to text in the result, in the event of a draw both teams please text in the result. In the case of the U-10 league, we just require a text that the game is played as this league is non-competitive. No scores are to be taken by the referee or either team. Both teams can text.
