Bweeng Celtic are looking for boys born in 2005. We want to field an under-13 team this autumn, and we need boys of this age. No experience necessary. We are running free fun sessions for boys born in 2012 or 2011 over the summer. All boys of this age are welcome every Saturday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Bweeng Community Pitch (no pre-booking necessary). Wear shin guards. Parents need to stay. Tel Ed at 085 8402176 or PM on Facebook for details.

This week, our five trainers Peppe, Tadgh, Alan, Willie and Ed were given training jacts sponsored by Brendan Creed of Direct Tyres. Brendan is based locally in Newberry and supplies tyres as well as fitting and repairing tyres at home, work or at the side of the road. Our training season is winding down now for many of the groups. There will be a fun training session for all this Friday to celebrate our great season. Training will begin again in August. If you have a child of any age who is interested in getting involved – please get in touch.

LADIES’ FOOTBALL

Well done our under-12s who took on Banteer this week.

Cork LGFA summer Camp will take place with Orlagh Farmer and co., for eight to 16 years. Cost – €40 per player; €70 for two sisters and €95 for three sisters. Each player will receive a jersey.
