GLANTANE CEMETERY MASS

A huge turnout attended this inaugural cemetery mass in St John the Baptist’s Cemetery on his feast day. A platform and canopy were erected to facilitate the celebrants and to provide elevation for the altar. There was a welcome cuppa and cakes provided in the local community hall afterwards and the general consensus was that it was a worthwhile event and should be repeated. Local community groups and individuals also made great efforts to ensure this was a memorable occasion. Mass was co-celebrated by V.Rev Fr Buckley PP, Rev Fr Horgan MSC C.C. and Fr. O Hanlon C.C.
