CIARA AND AOIFE TOPS AT TAILTEANN GAMES:

Ciara Sheehy and Aoife O’Sullivan represented their secondary schools – St Mary’s, Charleville; and St Mary’s, Mallow, respectively – as they competed for Munster in the Tailteann Games at Santry Stadium, Dublin, at the weekend. Munster won the overall trophies for girls and boys.

This was an amazing achievement for both girls, and they will now head to Tullamore next weekkend, July 8 and 9, to compete in their All-Ireland Championship.

Ciara competed in the shot put, throwing a massive 14.75 metres and the hammer with a throw of 46.43 metres, while Aoife competed in the High Jump, clearing 1.55 metres. Well done to both for a job well done.
