Location provides a stunning backdrop

-

“YOU can travel the world twice over and you wouldn’t find a spot as nice as Glenbeigh,” is how Darran describes his locality and not even the world’s most committed naysayer can find fault with this view. If ‘ location, location, location’ is the most salient aspect of property, then the scenic backdrop to the Rosspoint Bar and Restaurant is one of those gifts from Mother Nature herself.

It’s often easy to overcook praise at this point, but Glenbeigh’s terrain really has much to offer in terms of beauty and scenic awe and having a good spot to rest up, have a bite to eat and enjoy a cup of coffee before heading on the road again is a bonus. Its stunning horseshoe-shaped beach is of Blue Flag standard and the sloping Seefin Mountains are all natural treasures, not to mention beautiful Glenbeigh village, just a mile away.

All this makes customers feel like they’ve just arrived in an exclusive part of the world reserved for pure pleasure. Add in the Wild Atlantic Way stop off and a thriving caravan park situated nearby, all of which ensures a steady and familiar flow of visitors.

But you won’t find the O’Sullivan family taking things for granted just because their establishment happens to enjoy one of the county’s premier locations. Far from it. The attitude here is one of accentuating the hard work required to make a business run smoothly and tick soundly.

“I guess we are blessed in one sense that our bar and restaurant enjoys such a fabulous location. If you get a fine day around here you don’t have to go anywhere else in the world. It has its prominent features, but owning a business also requires you to build prominent features and our intention is to develop a business that complements its surrounds,” Darran said.
