Sharon: “It’s gone bananas, I’ve been on air in Canada and Australia this morning alone”

A CORK woman has gone viral online and has been making headlines around the world for her parody recreation of Beyonce’s first picture with her new twins.

Sharon Kellaway, from Kilworth, recreated the look with five month old twins Senan and Zoe in her backyard.

“I saw the picture and I thought it was great, so I threw on a pink blanket and did my own version.

“My daughter, Megan, who’ll be six on Sunday took the photo,” Sharon said.

“It wasn’t meant to be a big deal, I just threw on the pink blanket for a laugh and sent it to my husband and friend in Canada.

“I would be a fan of Beyonce - I love her pictures, music and her photographs.”

Sharon said she wanted to show the “reality” of life as a mother to newborn twins.

“I just wanted to take the mickey as she looked so unrealistic.

“She will never know what it’s like to have twins all day, every day. The image was just so unrealistic and photoshopped. It’s a far cry from the lovely reality of a real bond with twins,” she said.

Sharon has already gone viral around the world with her hilarious parody, making headlines on the BBC, Fox America and as far away as India and Australia.

Since then Sharon’s phone has been “ringing off the hook” and she’s in danger of turning into as big a star as Queen Bey. She has been on local, national and international media.

Speaking about her new- found online fame, Sharon said it has all been overwhelming.

“It’s gone bananas, I’ve been on air in Canada and Australia this morning alone.

“I’ve never had anything like this – I’ve got reporters looking for me constantly,” she said.
