Cullen will be stepping back in time on this Sunday, July 23, with the staging of its 19th annual Harvest afternoon,
This afternoon promises to be a great day for all the family with plenty to enjoy and an opportunity to meet up with neighbour and friends, it is hoped that if will be as successful if not better than previous years.
All the tried and tested events are back again including the popular old time threshing, the usual wonderful display of vintage cars and tractors, a tractor building demonstration by the talented Broomhill Vintage Club, Coachford – current all-Ireland champions in the Ferguson 20 tractor building competition, children’s sports, bouncing castle, face painting, lucky dip, guess no of logs, raffles including raffle for two tickets for the North Cork country music festival etc and a recital by Cullen Pipe Band. Refreshments will be served on the day.
ROCKCHAPEL
The summer seisuin at Bruach na Carraige in Rockchapel continues each Tuesday 8.30 p.m. and will continue till the end of August.
The annual camp for children aged six to 16 years directed by twin sisters Eimear and Sinéad Guiney commences on Monday next, July 24, and continues till August 4 during which music, singing sand ceili dancing will be taught plus lots of fun and games.

The annual Mass in the Old Cemetery in Cullen takes place on Thursday next, July 27, at 7.30 p.m.
