MASS IN CARRIGANIM­A

The 10 a.m. Sunday morning Mass in Carriganim­a will not be celebrated from July 30 to September 3, both days inclusive. Mass will be resumed again on Sunday, September 10.

PUB QUIZ AT THE TAVERN.

The Dineen family are organising a Pub Quiz in aid of Pieta House in the Tavern Clondrohid on this Friday night, July 21, at 8 p.m. Anyone affected by suicide in the parish and surrounds will know that this is a very worthy cause. There will be a table quiz (team of four is €40), a raffle and entertainm­ent. Everyone welcome, contact Darren at 087 9822248 for more info.

FAMILY FUN DAY

Clondrohid GAA are hosting a family fun day on Sunday, July 30, in the GAA grounds 1 p.M. To 5 p.M. Obstacle course, bouncy castles for all ages, face painting, children’s races, GAA skills, fun and games, clown, music, ice cream and barbecue

CLONDROHID DEV GROUP.

Judging for Tidy Towns should be happening at any time now. The village is looking well at the moment, the flowers and shrubs are very colourful. Congratula­tions to all those households who have manicured their gardens and put up many hanging baskets, and flower containers. Well done to all those who are helping the Developmen­t Group with maintenanc­e and watering. Well done to Johnny, who is constantly on the go, and to Eugene. Keep up the good work of keeping the village neat and tidy and litter-free. Continue with the cleaning and painting. Children have a lot of free time now, put some of it to good use and be proud of your village.

CART CARRIGANIM­A.

The famous CART bus is heading to the Greyhound Track this Saturday evening, July 22, leaving Carriganim­a at 6.20 p.m. On Sunday, July 30, it is heading for Spike Island for a day trip. Bus leaving Carriganim­a at 9.15 a.m. For both trips, if you need more info contact 087 8794128 or 086 8736614

GAA NEWS.

Once again a very successful Cúl Camp was held in Clondrohid last week. The weather was gorgeous, the organisati­on excellent, and more than 90 children had a great time. Well done to Fergal and Yvonne, the main organisers of this event, and their helpers Teresa, Ann and Eleanor, all the coaches and the young players from under-14 and under-16 teams in the club, all who gave freely of their time for the week. Mr Cool was a welcome visitor with the warm weather. Great excitement greeted Aidan Walsh, Ian Maguire and Alan Cadogan, who all visited the camp.

JUNIOR A CHAMPIONSH­IP.

Clondrohid V Canovee this Sunday, July 23, at 7 p.m. in Macroom. The best of luck. Congratula­tions on defeating Éire Óg in Junior A league last Sunday on a score line of 1.12 to 1-11.

DANCING IN MUSHERA.

The next dance will take place this Sunday evening 3 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. Music by C&N Sound. Hope the sun the shines.
