OUTING

The Active Retirement Group next outing is on Wednesdaty, July 26 when they take in Blarney, Kinsale and Clonakilty. First stop is Blarney, where breakfast will be served followed by some shopping in the famed Woollen Mills.

Next its on to Kinsale for a walkabout before moving on to Clonakilty to view the scenery and the historical items associated with the area including the Michael Collins monument.

On the return journey they stop off at the Castle Hotel in Macroom for dinner before returning home full, happy and excited after another great day out. Anyone wishing to join in the fun contact Maureen at 087 3366761 or Ned at 087 9228151.

CLOTHES COLLECTION

Boherbue set dancing club has organised a used clothes collection which takes place during July and August. Old clothes, shoes, soft toys, blankets, curtains and towels are all welcome. Bags can be left at the Pearse Memorial Hall on Saturdays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or Tuesdays 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Boherbue Golf Society plays the Captain’s Prize (Dr David Heffernan) on Saturday, July 29, at the Charleville Golf Club. Tee time midday to 1 p.m. New members welcome, just turn out on the day. Further details from Joe Heffernan, Hon Sec at 029 76132.
