THE LATE EDWARD (NED) O’BRIEN

THE death occurred on Tuesday, July 18 at his residence Castle Lodge, King Square, Mitchelsto­wn of Edward (Ned) O’Brien.

The late Ned was very well known and was in his 93rd year. He was predecease­d by his wife, Breda.

Up to his retirement Ned was employed at Cork Marts. His popularity was borne out by the very large and representa­tive attendance at the removal on Wednesday evening from the family home to the Parish Church and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Thursday. Interment took place to the adjoining new cemetery.

To his sons William Rodger and Eamonn, daughters in law Liz, Julie and Elaine, sister Kitty (Houlihan) grandchild­ren, brothers in law, sisters in law, home help Catherine, nieces, nephews, relatives neighbours and many friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE BRIDIE MURPHY

THE death occurred unexpected­ly on Wednesday, July 19 at the Mercy Hospital Cork of Bridie Murphy (nee O’Brien) 3 Mandeville Park, Mitchelsto­wn and formerly of St. Michael’s Ave, Tipperary Town.

The late Bridie was a very popular member of the community. There was a large and representa­tive attendance at the funeral at the Chapel of Rest Baldwin St, Mitchelsto­wn on Friday evening and also at the Requiem Mass and burial on Saturday. Interment took place to Brigown New Cemetery.

To her husband Noel, sons Patrick, Liam, Niall, daughters Jenny, June (Cllr) Orla, sons in law daughters in law, grandchild­ren, brothers, sisters. Brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives neighbours and friends we tender our sincere sympathy.

THE LATE DIARMUID O’LEARY

THE death occurred on Saturday, July 15 of Diarmuid O’Leary, Coachford.

The late Diarmuid was brother of Canon Tim O’Leary, Mitchelsto­wn. There was a large attendance at the removal on Tuesday evening from his home to St Patrick’s Church, Coachford. There was also a very large gathering at the Requiem Mass and burial on Wednesday. Interment took place to St John’s Cemetery.

To his daughters Jo, Elizabeth (Thompson) Mary (Heskin) Ellen (Duhig) Bernadette, sons Diarmuid, Miceal, brother Canon Tim O’Leary, sister Joan (Cahill) grandchild­ren, sons in law, sisters in law, brothers in law, nephews, nieces relatives and friends we tender our sympathy.
