Intermediate hurlers pick up points

THE Kanturk Intermediate hurlers, travelled to East Cork to face Castlemartyr in a re-arranged county division 2 league tie on bank holiday Monday.

Traving with an under strength side, Kanturk held a slender one point advantage at the break, 0-11 to 0-10.

A second half goal gave Kanturk the edge as they ran out winners, 1-14 to 0-11.

In Duhallow U21 hurling, Kanturk defeated Banteer at Kanturk on Tuesday last, 1st August on a 1-24 to 0-14 score line.

In Juvenile affairs, Kanturk under age teams have two home games on Monday, 14th August. While the Kilroe pitch is taken up with Kanturk ladies footballers facing Mallow in championship fair at 7pm, our U12 footballers face Granard Gaels at Freemount Road pitch at 7pm while our U16 hurlers host Ballyhea at Lismire 7pm.
