LEAGUE FINAL

Kilbrin hurlers took on Dromtariffe on Friday night last in Lismire which ended in a draw. Kilbrin played very well in the first half while Dromtariffe gave the better display in the second half. The date for the replay will depend on other results in the Division.

LOTTO

Our lotto draw took place on Monday night last for a jackpot of €3,600. Lucky numbers drawn were 23, 25, 28 and 34 there was no jackpot winner and lucky-dip winners were Anthony Buttimer Garran na Dara, Michael O’Sullivan Garran na Dara, Pat O’Neill Kilbrin. Geraldine Heffernan Ballybane and Liz Heffernan Ballybane. Next draw is for a jackpot of €3,700.

RECENT WEDDINGS

Congratulations to Siobhán Heffernan, Kilbrin and Alex McCarthy, Feenagh, Co. Limerick, who were married in St John the Baptist church Kilbrin. Celebrants were Fr Micheál Leader, Fr Pat Bluett, Fr Michael Moynihan. Reception was at the Rose Hotel, Tralee. Siobhán is a daughter of Margaret and Donal.

Congratulations also to Michael Lenihan, Kilbrin and Sarah Daly, Duagh Co. Kerry, who were married in St Bridget’s Church Duagh. Celebrant was Fr Jim Lenihan, a cousin of the Groom. Reception was at the Listowel Arms Hotel. Michael is a prominent member of Kilbrin Hurling Team. Michael is son of Carol and Tim.

We wish both couples every blessing for the future.

THE TREE OF HOPE

On September 1 there will be prayers at the tree of Hope in Kilbrin Cemetery for all those who have lost their lives through suicide and for those who suffer from mental illness. Time will be clarified later on.
