Another great week for Laochra Óg players

-

WEDNESDAY August 9th: Our U10 Camogie girls were in action again last night, this time playing Newcestown. It was a great game, with all the girls using plenty skills, loads of picking up, striking, blocking and hand passes.

Lovely team work demonstrated. Well done to all the girls who played, each girl getting loads of game time. Thanks to Newcestown for hosting the game and the parents for making the trip and supporting the team and to our sponsors Matt Murphy pharmacy.

Thursday August 10th: On a glorious evening in Macroom castle grounds, our U13 Camogie team were in action against Ballincollig this evening.

Our girls started off very good and were unlucky not to hit the net in the first half. Ballincollig had some chances and took them well taking the lead on us. The second half started well with Roisín getting a great goal from a long range free.

The girls worked very hard in warm conditions but came up short in the end. It was a great privilege to be the first juvenile Camogie club team to play in Macroom castle grounds and we would like to thank Macroom GAA for the use of their great facilities and to all the supporters who stayed and watched the game. Thanks to Ballincollig for a very sporting game. Thanks also to our sponsors Macroom Tidy Town Group.

Saturday August 12th: U14s Camogie team played St. Vincent’s this morning away on their astro turf pitch. The game was good preparations for the U14 championship next weekend. The game was super fast with plenty of touches and scores by both teams. Thanks to St. Vincent’s for the game and to team Sponsors Macroom Tidy Towns.

50/50 Lotto: Our latest 50/50 Club Development Draw took place in Clondrohid Community Hall on Saturday evening. This weeks winner was Suzanne O’Brien who won €320 and sellers prize of €25.

Thank you to everyone who supported the draw. Next draw takes place on August 27.
