Kilbrin have way too much for Kiskeam
Kilbrin 3-19 Kiskeam 1-9
KILBRIN encountered few problems on accounting for Kiskeam in the Duhallow Junior B Football Championship in Newmarket.
Operating a brand of open and attacking football, there could be no disputing that Kilbrin emerged worthy winners. A depleted Kiskeam didn’t possess the firepower to make a sustained impact and the statistics backed it up.
Right from the off, Kilbrin held a spring in their step through the positive endeavours of Paudie O’Callaghan, Wesley Corkery, Eoin Sheahan and Stephen O’Reilly.
A brace of goals from O’Reilly in addition to quality points confirmed the winners dominance to power into a 2-12 to 0-3 lead by the interval.
Kiskeam required a bright start to the second half and it arrived through the generous contributions of Jack Collins, Luke O’Connor and Maurice Casey.
A goal from a penalty offered semblance of a possible comeback yet the wind was taken out of the Kiskeam sails on Sheahan pouncing for a Kilbrin goal to wrap up matters.
