Three Cork Under-17 girls teams play in All-Ireland Development Blitz
WELL done to the three Cork U17 teams who travelled to Abbotstown in Dublin to play in the U17 Development Blitz last week. This Blitz was following 9 weeks of Development training during the summer. 66 girls travelled to Dublin and enjoyed a fantastic day of football. Thanks to Paddy, Kathleen, Kieran, Ken and Denise for a fantastic programme from start to finish. All three teams played in their groups with 1 of the teams making it to the semi-final of the Shield where they were unlucky not to get a result from one of the Kerry teams.
MUNSTER LADIES FOOTBALL U-8 AND U-10 BLITZ IN BANTEER
The U8 and 10 Munster Blitz was held in Banteer last Saturday. A beautiful day for the 28 teams that took part and played in the spirit of fun and participation and was enjoyed by parents and players alike. Feedback was very good, thanks to the clubs who sent messages after the event. A very well organised and structured day which ensured the very smooth running of the event making it a very enjoyable day out.
Thanks to Banteer Ladies Football Club for a great day out and for use of the great facilities and for the refreshments which were much appreciated by all especially those who had travelled a distance to be there. Thanks to everyone who baked and made sandwiches. Thanks to everyone who volunteered in any way and who refereed, coordinated and helped out with refreshments and the shop. All your support was much appreciated on the day and contributed to the success of the event.
CORK SENIOR LADIES WIN
Congratulations to the Cork Senior Ladies who had a great win v Galway in the qualifiers last weekend. Best of luck to them v Mayo in the All Ireland Semi Final on Sept 2.
U-12 MUNSTER BLITZ
Best of the luck to all the U12 teams who will travel to Knocknagree this Saturday. Information and payment will be taken at 11am with referees and trainers meeting at 11.15 with all games starting at 11.30am. All games have to start on time to ensure the smooth running of the event. U-13 DEVELOPMENT TRAINING There is no U13 North Cork Development training this Saturday due to the Munster Ladies Football Blitz in Banteer.
U-15 DEVELOPMENT TRAINING U-15 North Cork Development training commenced this week and will continue for five weeks. Training will be held every Wednesday from 6.30 to 8pm. Players born in 2002 and 2003 are eligible to attend and do not need to be sent by their clubs. For any further information call Jo Shirkie on 087 6180026 or Ann Walsh on 087 3112247
COURSES
North Cork will run any courses required by Clubs, please give me a call on 083 3498778 if you have anyone in your club who needs to do a Code of Ethics, Fundamentals , Level 1 Coaching, Grab your Whistle Referee , Level 1 Referee, Level 2 Referee or First Aid. If we have the numbers we will run these courses before the end of the year.
