PILGRIMAGE

The Kerry Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes led by Bishop Ray Browne takes place from September 2 to September 7 from Kerry Airport. Seats are still available – contact Janice on (064) 7758219.

5K

The three nights weekly – Monday, Wednesday and Friday – exercise stint at the Glencara GAA grounds is becoming more popular each week, with all ages and fitness levels catered for. Walk or jog at your own speed – it is organised by the Glash/Taur Community Alert Group.

The numbers drawn were 11, 22, 28 and 29 while the Lucky Dip of €50 went to Kate O’ Sullivan of Islandbrack. €20 each went to Edmund McSweeney (Knocknagree), Niall and Anna Doody (Kiskeam) and Dan McLoughlin. The sellers prize went to Patsy Breen.

MACRA

Sliabh Luachra Macra Na Feirme are holding a new members night this Friday August 25 in the Pearse Memorial Hall Boherbue, commencing at 9:30pm. Macra is a vibrant rural youth organisation for people aged 17-35, with a variety of activities available for members including socials, public speaking, performing arts, sport and travel.
