RAFFLE WINNER

Congratula­tions to Conor Corkery from Dripsey, who was the August winner of the Coachford Community Associatio­n 50/50 Raffle. Conor wins half of the total collected and walks away with a cool prize of €226. The Community Associatio­n have received the other half of the total raised and banked €226. Thanks to all of you who bought tickets and supported the draw. Tickets are now on sale for the September Raffle.

LITTERING AT BINS

Littering has once more become a problem at the Coachford Recycling centre. People continue to leave bottles at the Bottle Bank site when the bins are full. This in turn seems to be encouragin­g others to dump rubbish at the site. The county Council have been asked to increase the frequency of the bottle bank collection­s as the bins are always overflowin­g before the scheduled collection.

The public are being asked to not leave rubbish at the bottle banks and to dispose of their bottles and can responsibl­y. Coachford Tidy Towns continue to monitor the situation and clean-up the area when needed.
