Tender writing workshop

-

EACH year billions of euros worth of new business are awarded in the private and not-for-profit sectors on the back of written tenders and proposals.

Therefore, the ability to write effective tenders is a core skill, particularly given the competitive nature of bidding for public expenditure related projects.

Despite this increased need these skills are sadly lacking within many organisations, often leaving untrained staff with the daunting prospect of writing a tender document that may be crucial to future success.

A one-day programme taking place at the Fermoy Community Youth Centre next Thursday (September 21) will take local people through the process of how to prepare a winning tender.

Entitled ‘Powerful Tenders’ the programme is being conducted by Ian McKay of Navigate Change Consulting under the auspices of the Local Enterprise Office (LEO) Cork North and West.

Aimed at businesses of all sizes, the workshop will show participants how to prepare persuasive written tenders and proposals, including the provision of an adaptable template to promote strong tender and proposal development.

The cost will be €30 per participant and places can be booked online at www.localenterprise.ie/corknorthandwest or by phone at 022 43235.
