There are many reasons why Broderick is perfect for the challenge of interpreting the works of the legendary and hugely influential New Yorker.

INTRIGUING TAKE ON ONE OF OSCAR WILDE’S BEST

THE engaging play ‘ To Hell and a Handbag’ will enjoy a three-night run at the Everyman Palace Theatre from next Tuesday evening.

While others are preoccupied with cucumber sandwiches and railway cloakrooms, two minor characters from Oscar Wilde’s ‘ The Importance of Being Earnest’, a country rector and a governess.

Seemingly models of Victorian propriety in public, Canon Chasuble and miss Prism, are up to their necks in something else in their private lives.

A play behind the play, it is a tale of blackmail, false identity and money and a subversively funny new take in an Irish theatrical classic.
