DUHALLOW BUSINESS AWARDS TIME

- MARIA HERLIHY

TIME is ticking for entrants for the upcoming IRD Duhallow Business Awards held in conjunction with The Corkman.

So far, there has been a very steady stream of entrants for the gala awards ceremony which will be held next month on the grounds of IRD Duhallow. However, any business in the region wishing to enter have just one week left to do so as the closing date is Thursday, October 12 at 5pm.

The award categories include Best Business Start Up, Best Established Business Award, Women Led Business Award, Creative Industry Award, Agri Business Award and Community Enterprise Award. There will also be an overall winner announced on the night. However, it is not possible for entrants to enter for the overall award; instead, entrants from the six individual categories will be taken into consideration when deciding on the best overall business award.

Last year, just shy of 200 people gathered at the specially erected marquee on the grounds of IRD Duhallow for the gala awards night.

Nominating a business is easy, just complete the Duhallow Business Awards nomination form available in The Corkman or download it from www.irdduhallow.com. A person can take either a photo of the form or scan and email it to louise.bourke@irdduhalow.com or post it to IRD Duhallow Business Awards, James O’Keeffe Institute, Newmarket.
