Liscarroll/Churchtown Gaels 3-13 Kilshannig 2-11

FOLLOWING a keenly contested Junior C HC semi final at Kildorrery on Sunday, Liscarroll / Churchtown Gaels emerged winners by a five point margin.

The winners had the aid of the cross wind in the first half. Peter Crowley opened the scoring with Kilshannig’s Liam Casey levelling after three minutes. The sides were also level 0-2 and 0-3 each.

Peter Crowley pointed two frees for the winners with another long range free finding its way to the net as the Gaels moved 1-5 to 0-3 clear after 18 minutes. At the other end Diarmuid O’Sullivan had a well taken shot saved by Noel Quinn.

Peter Crowley added a pointed free. The sides were deadlocked when Diarmuid O’Sullivan goaled 1-6 to 2- 3. Peter Crowley pointed a free and a ‘65. Deep in injury time good play by Liam Casey led to a fine point by Diarmuid O’Sullivan as the Gaels led 1-8 to 2-4 at the break.
