Girls school to host ‘Who Wants to Be A Thousandaire’
NEWMARKET Girls School Parents Association will launch the show ‘Who Wants To Be a Thousandaire?” as their major fundraiser for 2017 in the school on Wednesday, October 11 at 7:30pm.
“Who Wants To Be a Thousandaire?” is run nationwide by Pallas Marketing and is similar to the TV show of the same name.
Chairperson of the parents association Mr Jeremiah Roche said: “We are delighted with the response from the local companies who have come on board as major sponsors and advertisers. All sponsors and advertisers will avail of on-screen advertising on the night of the show and will be promoted strongly by us on the night”.
Mr Roche went on to say: “the proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the renovation of the school” and he extended an open welcome to all to attend the launch and enjoy a tour of the new school extension and ongoing renovation works.
Those in attendance at the launch will also get a sneak preview of the show.
Tickets for the show, which will be held on November 10 in the Hi-Land, are priced at €20 and can be purchased from any committee member. There will be a discount for families with tickets available for €60.
Tickets will be available from the night of the launch. Tickets are expected to sell out in advance of this most entertaining and fun-filled show and people are encouraged to purchase their tickets early.
