Patrician Academy Achievements/Activities 2016 /17
The Patrician Academy had a very successful and busy year in relation to co-curricular and extra curricular activities.
5th Year Chemistry students were given an interesting tour of the labs on a visit to Pfizers Ringaskiddy. These students also competed in the Pfizer Senior Chemistry Quiz.
The TY Technology class reached the final of the Dell EMC VEX Robotics National Championships in CIT.
Science: Technology: Young Social Innovators National Showcase 2017:
The YSI Class undertook a project on raising awareness about drug addiction and took part in the regional finals in Cork.
Student Enterprise Awards:
TY students participated in the Schools Enterprise Programme Awards Competition. Their businesses included creating and selling innovative products like hand crafted wooden hurley stands and personalised car registration plates.
The Rotary Club had a very successful year, raising money for charity. Eoghan Kenny took part in the Rotary Interact Area Youth Leadership Competition for North Cork.

Minor Football: Minor Hurling:
The U16 players made it to the school league semi-final. 2nd year players reached the semifinal of the County Cup League. 1st year players were crowned County Champions later reaching the All Ireland semi-finals.
The Cross Country U15, U17 and U19 teams competed in the South Munster Championships.
The Patrician Academy currently has U19, U17, U15 and 1st Year soccer teams and they competed in Munster and Cork competitions. A highlight was the senior soccer team having a 3-1 win over North Mon.
