Networking forum opportunities for community groups
THE Ballyhoura Networking Forum 2017 takes place in Croom Enterprise Centre on this Saturday, November 18 and provides a choice of two excellent networking and learning workshops with an opportunity to give your views on Community Development and Community Enterprise.
Workshop One, entitled ‘Valuing Community Development’, is offered in collaboration with the Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) who want to hear your views on how best to capture local community development activities, and whether community development and community well-being can, or should be, measured.
Workshop Two is facilitated by Hugh O’Reilly of The Wheel, who will explore the topic of ‘Financing Your Community & Social Enterprise’.
This will offer financial advice and guidance to communities on establishing, developing and building community and social enterprise. It’s ideal for anyone involved in financing non-profit ventures and who are seeking a new approach to solving financial stability problems while trying to secure the long-term steadiness of service provision to the wider community.
A networking lunch is provided for all delegates at Croom Civic Centre following the workshops at 1pm. Catch up with friends from across the Ballyhoura area and make new connections.
Both workshops are a wonderful opportunity for community groups and members of local voluntary organisations to network, learn and have their say.
Registration may be completed through http://ballyhouraforum.eventbrite.ie or for further information contact the Ballyhoura Development Office at Coote Hall, Kilmallock, on tel. 063-20517.
